The Little Things I Appriciate
When I have my early-morning bathroom-breaks and I notice the cleaners have folded the end of the toilet paper into a neat triangle like in hotels. The fact that the store cupboard just outside the lab smells weirdly of cream cakes and custard slices. When my experiments don't work or I fuck up like a n00b, I can go in there and cry and imagine I'm in a bakery. Forgiveness, when I do fuck up. When someone calls me 'Queek'. Letters, E-mails and notes. I feel very 'OMG somebody cares!' The way Fritz runs to the door to greet me and licks me half to death. Unconditional love. Clean bedsheets.How about you?
